Biographical Sketch

Resides and works in Shreveport, and has published socio-political editorials in the Shreveport Times, the New Orleans Times-Picayune, the Dallas Morning News, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and others. Schools attended include Shreve Island Elementary, Youree Drive Junior High, and Captain Shreve and Byrd High Schools, graduating from the latter; and for post-secondary, initially attended LSU-S, and received a Bachelor of Science from LSU, a Master of Arts in Liberal Arts from LSU-S, and a Master of Business Administration from Centenary College.

Hobbies

Golf- participation in numerous local club tournaments, and many City Amateur and Louisiana Golf Association championships.

Martial Arts- Second Degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Renaissance literature, especially the work of William Shakespeare.

International travel, especially France, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain.

He holds the MAI, SRA, and AI-GRS designations from the Appraisal Institute and served as president of both the Shreveport and the Louisiana Chapters. One of the first to become a Louisiana Certified General Real Estate Appraiser, he holds License #2 and was also the first AI designated general review appraiser in Louisiana. Member, National Diversity Committee (2008-2009). Candidate Advisor for MAI & AI-GRS Candidates (2015-2019).

Real Estate Experience

Experienced in real estate appraisal since January 1976: and self-employed since 1984, with completion of over 5,200 appraisals. Qualified as an expert witness in several District Courts, Federal, Civil, and Criminal Courts and Federal Bankruptcy Court

Real Estate Territory

Historically the territory covered was broad, including international work in the Caribbean nations of the Bahamas and the Cayman Islands among others, ranging from Georgia to Nevada, including Texas, Arkansas, and all of the major markets in Louisiana. For local property types geographical competence shown by the last five years of work history, is limited to northwest Louisiana, with a few exceptions. For properties with national markets, a much larger area is available to be served, including recency in Hotels, Restaurants, Golf Courses, Automobile Dealerships, and Timber Land. Selected Review Assignments accepted on a National basis.
